We are almost a month into the offical big kid bed transition, and it SUCKS. An ex-boyfriend of mine, who I (reluctantly) befriended on Facebook, said he loved big kid beds and that his children now sleep more than they ever did. I am beginning to wonder if the fact that we ended badly all those years ago led him to tell me this colossal lie knowing what hell big kid beds would bring to my life. I cannot begin to express to you how desperately I wish we had left the wee hooligans in their cribs until they reached... ohhhhh... I dunno... TWELVE??? Cripes.

The crib has been the least-used piece of all the baby equipment that we purchased. Maybe the only good thing about E never really having slept in it, though, is that we have no big kid bed transition to weather. Instead, she might be sleeping in OUR bed until she reaches twelve! Cripes indeed.

Oh my goodness - Katie WILL NOT, CANNOT sleep in the same bed as anybody else. The few times we have pulled her in with us (extreme illness, travel, etc.) have been the worst nights of sleep for all of us. I have a feeling our big-girl-bed transition will be rough.
